CEREMONY OF THE TRANSFER OF THE ASSETS OF BLOCK B, TO THE COMPANY GEPETROL SA.

The Head of State and Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, HE Obiang NGUEMA MBASOGO, presided over the Official Ceremony of the Transfer of the Assets of Block B to the GEPETROL company this Friday, July 19, 2024.


This event was attended by the Vice President of the Republic, in Charge of National Defense and State Security, HE Teodoro NGUEMA OBIANG; the Prime Minister of the Government, in Charge of Administrative Coordination, Her Excellency. Mrs. Doctor Manuela ROCA BOTEY; the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, His Excellency. Mr. Antonio OBURU ONDO; the General Director of GEPETROL, Ilma. Mrs. Teresa Isabel NNANG, among other worthy governmental, diplomatic as well as civil authorities of the country.


Following the withdrawal of the Exxon Mobile firm in Equatorial Guinea, all the assets of Block B have become the property of the Equatorial Guinean State, this is the reason why the ceremony was carried out, to make said transfer official to the national company.


GEPETROL SA. In the protocol order, the speech of the Head of State stood out, who showed his incredible satisfaction for the new milestone achieved by the Equatoguinean people, which will greatly strengthen the economic autonomy of the country, while encouraging those present in design sustainable strategies to increase daily crude oil production.


While the Hon. Mr. Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, pointed out in the last minutes of his speech, several challenges that will be faced both with the Operations, as well as with the Project to Increase the Production of daily barrels, while , congratulating the team, firmly stated that these challenges were already being overcome, with good planning, teamwork, strength, knowledge and experience.


After exhausting all the sections included in the protocol order, the ceremony closed with the immortalization of a family photo.
