GEPETROL WILL INCREASE ITS PRODUCTION WITH THE RECONNECTION OF ITS SUBMARINE FACILITIES IN BLOCK ‘B’ OF ZAFIRO.


At the event, Nguema Obiang Mangue highlighted Gepetrol's efforts in managing the assets transferred by ExxonMobil and stressed that the Government's objective is to make this national company a benchmark in the subregion in terms of the administration of the sector.

This agreement is part of a context of economic recovery for Equatorial Guinea, which is promoting projects in various sectors. In the hydrocarbons sector, the Executive aims to increase crude oil production and, therefore, tax revenues. The signed agreement aims to reconnect the production wells of Block B of Zafiro, which were affected by an accident that forced the closure of said connection.


At the event, Nguema Obiang Mangue highlighted Gepetrol's efforts in managing the assets transferred by ExxonMobil and stressed that the Government's objective is to make this national company a benchmark in the subregion in terms of the administration of the sector.


Finally, the Vice President of the Republic has expressed his best wishes to both companies, urging them to work with a focus on the interests of all parties involved.
