THE PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE EITIGE CHAIRS THE 10TH SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COMMISSION

The President of the NATIONAL COMMISSION, Antonio OBURU ONDO, chaired on the morning of this Wednesday, April 17, the tenth Extraordinary Meeting of the National Commission of the EITI Preparatory Group for Equatorial Guinea (EITI-GE). The event took place in the meeting room on the sixth floor of the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons, in Malabo II.




Among the topics discussed, the organization of the visit to our country by a high delegation of the International Secretariat of the EITI stands out, as well as the convenience of updating and reforming the laws and regulations that develop the operation of the EITI Initiative in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, to adapt them to the current moment, with a view to their next effective implementation of the postulates of the EITI INTERNATIONAL.

Representatives of the Multi-Stakeholder Group participated in full, led by its President and Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons, Antonio OBURU, the Delegate Minister of the Interior, Fidel NSUE MICHA, the Secretary of State for Security, Eduardo MINANG ENSEMA, the Vice President, Priscila Obono ATEBA ANGUESOMO, the General Director of Civil Society, Elías Ondo MBANA MAKINA, representatives of the oil sector companies in our country and the Civil Society group in the National Commission, as well as the Permanent National Secretary, Iván WILLIAMS MONGOLUE.
